Tool Chain

A typical project design consists of one or more of the following:
  • A summary of requirements
  • An architectural block diagram of the design
  • CAD drawings (Fusion 360)
  • Software Modules with headers and comments (depends on the language)
  • CAM Gcode (Fusion 360)
  • Drawings (Fusion 360) and/or schematics (Eagle)
  • Prototype fabrication
  • Testing
  • All documents update

Tools

Hand Tools

  • I own every hand tool imaginable

CNC Machines

  • The shop has a small 40w CO2 laser cutter and engraver
  • The shop has a 3' x 3' CNC router

Machining:

  • Small metal lathe
  • Small Vertical Mill
  • Large capacity wood lathe
  • Small capacity wood lathe
  • Drill press, table saw, band saw, chop saw

Outsource Fabrication

Mechanical: 


  • I may outsource fabrication if the prototype is to large for my tools

Electrical: 

  • PCB's are outsourced to one of many online providers
